We anticipate the ice will be ready by Sunday, October 16th. That is a little earlier than the past few years, but hopefully everyone will appreciate the earlier start. That means practices will start on Monday, October 17th. The practice schedule should be similar to last year for our returning players. Here is the planned schedule:

7:15-8:15 - 12U

8:30-9:30 - 14U

 

Tuesday:

6-7 - 8U (Mini, House & Travel)

7:15-8:15 - 10U 

 

Thursday:

5:15-6:15 - 8U (House & Travel) & 10U

6:30 - 7:30 - 12U

7:45-8:45 - 14U

 

Friday:

8-9 - 16U (only until start of high school winter sports season)

 

Saturday (please note this does not start until Oct. 29th):

8:30 - 9:30 - Learn to Skate, 8U Mini & House

 

10U and 12U Team Placement:

10U and 12U will be having evaluations for placement on the Tier 3 and Tier 4 teams. The schedule for evaluations is as follows:

 

Sun, Oct. 23:

8:45 - 9:45 - 10U session 1

10-11 - 12U session 1

 

Mon Oct. 24:

7:15-8:15 - 12U session 2

 

Tue, Oct. 25:

7:15-8:15 - 10U session 2

 

Early Season Bonus Skates

We will be having early season bonus skates on Wednesdays until the high school winter sports season starts (at least through November 9th). Here is the schedule for the bonus skates:

 

Wednesday

5:45-6:45 - 10U & 12U

7-8 - 14U & 16U 

 

Coaches Communication:

Each age group (10U, 12U, etc.) should expect to receive an e-mail from the coach prior to practices starting. This will be to set up a meeting where they can discuss details and expectations for the season, and to recruit parent volunteers. A well-run team needs a few parent volunteers. So don't be shy!

 

Referees:

We (and all of Vermont) are critically low on referees. We will not be able to host games if we are not able to staff the games with certified refs. If you or someone you know has any interest, we encourage you to get certified through USA Hockey.
