Sawyer Goodwin made 17 saves in his first career shutout. The score was knotted 0-0 after 2 periods. The LAYHA team had strong defensive play from each of their 7 defenseman, three of whom garnered their first point as a Squirt with assists on the scoresheet. The Redwings came out with a lot of intensity in the third period and went up 1-0 halfway through the period with a goal by Duncan D'Olympio, assisted by Jackson Murray (first official point as a Squirt). The final goal sealed the deal and was scored by Jeremy Reardon assisted by Paytyn Pope and Mason Hamilton (first official points for Pope and Hamilton).
